Bring on the Smiles!

Our Operation Smile campaign is underway at the studio!  This October, photographers from across the country are joining together with PPA Charities (the philanthropic arm of Professional Photographers of America) in promoting "Family Portrait Month." This national fund-raising effort will benefit Operation Smile, which treats children around the world who suffer with cleft lips, cleft palates and other facial deformities. In the month of October we will be donating a significant portion of a child or family's session fee to Operation Smile. We are very excited about this opportunity!!!

White Bear Lake | Dubuque Family

I love, love, LOVE when I get to work with my past wedding clients!  I met this couple some years ago when Dave and I shot their wedding and I am overjoyed that they have welcomed not one, but two beautiful girls into the world.  Their session was relaxed, fun and rewarding for all of us.  The family portrait pictured below is one of my new favorites for the year with great colors that compliment each other and a relaxed, natural pose!  I'm also a fan of their customized DVD and case that you see below as it holds the digital masters of their favorite images from the session. 

 

 

 

White Bear Lake | Family Session

Photographing the relationships that exist between my clients is a true joy of mine.  When I was contacted by the close family friend that's pictured below, I was thrilled to learn that she wanted to do a portrait session with her two grandsons.  The images you see speak to the playful and loving bond that exists between these three.  Throughout their session I kept a close watch on their interactions and I worked to capture the candid moments that I thought would illustrate their unique and loving bond.  I believe I was able to do so and I invite you to see if you agree with me after looking through the images below. 

Silly Brothers

It is always my pleasure to photograph the families and children that I do.  This session was no exception!  Nolan and Gavin arrived at the studio with lots of energy and smiles.  During their session both boys were fun-loving and silly.  It was great to capture not only their personalities throughout our time together but to also have captured a sweet moment or two between brothers is priceless! 

Hendrickson Family

Photographing families is just one of the things I LOVE about my job!   It's always a great time when children are happy to be at the studio and willing to show their personalities in front of the camera.  This session couldn't have went any better!  The entire crew was cooperative and fun and I can't wait to show them their images when they come in next week.
