Make a bouquet, it will brighten your day! Spring Boutique and Bouquet Day 2011
Spring has sprung, the flowers are in bloom and Mother's Day is right around the corner. On Saturday April 30th we will be participating in White Bear Lake's 8th Annual Bouquet Day. Local shops will each provide a unique variety of flower and while you stroll through the area enjoying the sunshine, cool breeze, shopping, and great spots to eat, you'll have the opportunity to create a beautiful bouquet of flowers from your day.
We are also very excited to announce that in the midst of Bouquet Day, we will be hosting a Mother's Day boutique at the studio from 10-4pm with a variety of wonderful businesses. This is a perfect opportunity for you to pop into our studio, collect a stem for your bouquet and find something special for your mother, grandmother, sister or another important woman in your life.
Here's a Sneak Peek at just some of the awesome things you'll encounter:
Sunrise River Soaps ~ bath salts, fizzers and butters for the tub, shower and body as well as glycerin soaps with amazing scents to please any sniffer. They also provide products for little ones, specialty kits and a new line of handcrafted soaps encouraging you to just "be" in the moment.
HeARTfully Unique Designs ~ owned and operated by Erica Larson, she specializes in designing and making custom jewelry and other artful expressions using beads, gems and other semi-precious stones
Irma Markoe ~ talented hair and makeup stylist of MIXX Salon in WBL will be on the spot providing hair and makeup advice as well as glam strands and a gift certificate sale!
Pam Rickard ~ Creative Memories consultant offering paper products and creative accessories for any scrapbook fanatic.
We will also have Greenware Creations (a company that sells handcrafted serving ware for weddings, anniversaries and everyday use), coffee and delicious baked goods from Autumn's Cafe in Lino Lakes, mini massages by therapist Megan Staberg and abstract botanical fine art photography by our very own Tonya Wilson.
See you there!

As if babies aren't cute enough!
We all love the miraculous and ever so fine features of a newborn baby. They have tiny fingers, tiny toes, and soft, wrinkled, new skin. They also have a delightful "new baby" smell...I'm talking about the one that just about causes me to run to the nearest store to purchase a pink bottle of baby lotion, not the one that frequently drifts from their diaper in the first days, weeks and months of their life.
As if they aren't precious enough all on their own, we will be photographing newborns and other itty bitty's on Friday and Sat. April 8th and 9th in our mini sessions wearing the gear posted below. Can you even stand it? Not only can I not wait to witness the adorable moments captured on camera, but I also don't want you to miss your opportunity either. Call the studio today (651-762-3611) and book your child's 20 min. mini session for just a $35 session fee. (The session fee is for up to 2 children...an additional $10 will be charged for each added child). Also, special packaging starts at $75.

Sunshine, Puddles and Spring Portraits
The subtle signs of spring are upon us. Just last weekend I woke extra early with my daughter (she has yet to figure out that we like to sleep until at least 7am on the weekends) and heard the faint sounds of a bird or two chirping in the distance. It was music to my ears! This can only mean warmer weather, less snow, more melting, and the reorganization of my family's closets. If you are anything like me I am not only itching to open up the windows, but I also anticipate swapping the heavy sweaters, boots and jackets for clothes with bright colors and less fabric, and flip flops.
Spring also brings about cheerful children who are no longer bogged down by cold or flu. Capture their renewed spunk in a Spring Portrait Session. The studio is now scheduling sessions and we encourage you to take advantage of this great opportunity. In this time of year, there really is nothing better than the warmer weather moving in, reorganized closets AND new poses of children smiling from the shelves and walls.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
